After an amazing year, we need to look to closing out the season.  FYC has been provided a grant to fix the retaining wall / walkway that is slowly collapsing into Fanshawe Lake.  While this is great news it does mean that our season will be cut short couple of weeks short so that the construction can beginning the week of October 6th. As such we’ll be pulling the dragon boats and docks on Saturday October 5th.  Lunch will be provided. 

When: Saturday, October 5, 9:30 – 1:30

Where: Fanshawe Yacht Club 

Dress: Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, we’ll be pulling dragon boats and docks, cleaning the green off them with pressure washers and some fall clean-up of the grounds.  Wear clothing appropriate for the weather that day.  You may want to bring a change of clothes too.

What to bring: 

• Water
• Sunscreen
• Gardening gloves (optional)
• Hedge trimmers if you have them (the trailer for the boat has some green growth around it that we need to cut away)
