Spring has finally arrived and we are starting to prepare for the dragon boat season opening.

FYC opening – April 13 – 9 am – 12 pm

• FYC through out the year maintain and care-take the FYC grounds. They request that LDBC assist with opening and closing of the grounds.
• Typically work includes raking, picking up sticks, general grounds maintenance for half a day
• Please bring:
  • Water, snacks
  • Gardening gloves (recommended)
  • Rakes if available
  • Dress for the weather, wet weather gear, sunscreen, bug spray
  • Optional change of clothing

Boat and dock launch – April 27 – 9 am – 2 pm

• Launch of the dragon boats and docks with Rowbusts
• Two teams for people on the water, one at docks area and one at loading area to launch the boats
• One smaller team for kitchen
• Please bring:
  • Water, snacks
  • Dress for the weather, wet weather gear, sunscreen, bug spray
  • Optional change of clothing
  • Pizza lunch will be provided

Season start – May 1

• Monday nights: Waves and Blades
• Tuesday nights: Pendragons
• Wednesday nights: Waves and Blades
• Thursday nights: Pendragons
• Saturday mornings: Blades and Pendragons
