Your stroke in the boat

• Coordinate regatta logistics and competition information.
• Facilitate discussions with UTRCA about member access.
• Source affordable equipment as needed, coordinating with Equipment & Asset Management.
• Lead planning and organization of club events.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events, clinics and facility opening/closing.
• Partner with Communications & Membership to promote activities.
• Work with Coaching & Athlete Development to support in-season skills clinics.
• Collaborate with Safety & Risk Management on event safety plans.
• Receive competition schedules and team fee reports from Team Captains / Managers and coordinate with the Treasurer.

Bring your dragon energy

• Call the start clearly: organize the details before the crew arrives.
• Keep your paddle in sync: collaborate and delegate rather than do it all yourself.
• Make every paddler feel part of the event, on the water or onshore.
• Stay adaptable when plans change and follow through after the finish.

Paddle together

Partner with Team Captains / Managers, Coaching & Athlete Development, Communications & Membership, Safety & Risk Management, Equipment & Asset Management and the Treasurer. The portfolio coordinates club-wide logistics and experiences, not individual teams’ coaching decisions.

Shared commitment

You guide this portfolio, but you do not paddle alone. Bring members, team representatives, committees and working groups alongside you to get things done. All Board directors share responsibility for Safe Sport principles and alignment with Dragon Boat Canada standards.
