As the paddling season draws to a close, it is time to wrap up operations on the water and prepare for next year. We also want to take a moment to acknowledge and welcome the Maple Dragons, a new team that joined LDBC this past August!

Fall Clean-Up: Dock & Boat Storage Before we head indoors, we need hands on deck to winterize our site.

• Date & Time: Saturday, October 17 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Details: We will be pulling boats and docks from the water and moving everything into winter storage.
• Please Bring: Garden/work gloves, water, and snacks to keep your energy up.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

• Date & Time: Sunday, October 25 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Location: Citi Plaza, 2nd Floor (watch for LDBC directional signage)
• Eligibility: All current registered and paid members are eligible to attend and vote.
• Proxy Voting: If you cannot attend in person, please assign your vote by filling out the Online AGM Proxy Form.

Join the Board: 4 Positions Open LDBC thrives because of the members who step up to run it. Per our bylaws, our board consists of 9 seats; this year, we are moving from our historical 7-member format to fill the full roster, meaning 4 board positions are up for election.

No prior board experience is necessary. We are actively looking for support in:

• Equipment & site maintenance
• Registration & club administration
• Event planning & coordination
• Coaching & program development

New Governance Documents Updated governance documents—along with a streamlined member summary—are now available for review at londondragonboat.com/governance-documents. These will be formally enacted at the AGM. We welcome your input, so please take a look and get in touch with any feedback before October 25.
